又是Zimbabwe,又是前教育部長Moyo的新聞。上星期才說過。但有些俚語的確需要知道,比如go for broke.
《紐約時報》這樣說:

對,go for broke就是“孤注一擲”,“全力以赴”,“豁出去了”的意思。英文解釋是:risk everything in an all-out effort.
以前是一個賭博用語,後來成爲俗語。

很多時候go for broke和go for it可替換使用。
